Just for today, I will not anger.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will be grateful.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
Just for today, I will not anger.
Anger is focused on what is expected to happen or what has already happened. Anger at yourself or others causes blockages in your energy system. Letting go of anger is an important step in achieving Peace of Mind.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Worry deals with what could happen in the future. It is usually based on worst case scenarios and rarely comes true. Hence the phrase, "borrowing trouble". It is normally not based in reality and it is commonly cyclical in nature. Letting go of worry, allows healing energies to move through the body.
Just for today, I will be grateful.
An "Attitude of Gratitude" has emotionally lightened and energetically brightened many a troubled heart and soul. It is impossible to be thinking about all the things that you are grateful are going right in your life and also be thinking about all the things that make you worried or angry.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Being respectful of yourself and how you earn your living, whether it is in support of just yourself or your family, will earn you the respect of your coworkers, family and friends. This one could easily be translated into the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
Honor your parents, honor your teachers, honor your elders, honor your children, honor your friends, honor the strangers that you pass on the street.
We are all here to learn and often valuable lessons come from the most unexpected sources.
